A Charitable Gesture: Website Training For Local Charities

Written by Andrew Larkin

Bournemouth based WebPurity recently ran its first training seminar and was offered free to charities.

Andy Larkin (on the far left), Director of WebPurity, commented, “We saw an opportunity to help out local charities and were overwhelmed by the response. It really has made us think about running a charities-only event. At the end of the day these charities stand to benefit the most from social media training, and that’s what it’s all about.

The content of the training was delivered by internet marketing guru Suraj Sodha who has a wealth of experience in on-line promotion. Event organiser and attendee Selda Ozgur, of Angel Events, stated, “This training course surpassed my expectations in every way, especially as the material was explained in such a clear and concise way by Suraj.

The use of Social Media as an everyday marketing tool should now be seen as essential in an increasingly competitive world. Louise Blackwell who is responsible for communications at Lewis-Manning Hospice says,”This course was particularly suitable for me as it gave me the confidence and ability to develop our social media content and in turn this will help to raise awareness of our charity.

If you would like further information on future training courses you can contact Andy on 0800 756 5620,or by e-mail to training@webpurity.co.uk. The first 10 charities to respond will be offered a free place at the next available course.
